Deals at Babies"R"Us

I had a fantastic time at BRU today! I walked away with so many deals, I felt like I won the lottery! BRU is having a great sale on Earth's Best Organic 1st and 2nd foods 10/$5, I bought 30 jars of food (combination of 1st and 2nd) I had 3 coupons for $1/10, I also had a BRU $10 GC ( I got the GC when I purchased 2 boxes of diapers). So , 30 jars @ 10/$5 = $15-$3 ($1/10)=$12-$10 GC=$2. Do you all see why I felt like I won the lottery. FYI, there is a coupon for $5 off a value box of Fisher Price diapers in a coupon booklet I got from BRU, there is also a printable coupon $2/1 @ the Fisher Price website and also a coupon in the value box for another $2/1 value box. So, in total, there's the potential so save $9 off a value box which retails for a little over $20; so that's $11 for a box (the number of diapers varies depending on the size).

Black Friday!!!

Goodness, Black Friday was just awesome!!! I picked up so many great deals! I am always looking for great deals on stuff for my little one, you know, diapers, wipes, formula, rice cereal (he starts solids next month), clothing, and feeding accessories. I am also always looking for bargains on clothes for me and my husband.....I really don't need any more clothes or shoes, but a good deal is just so hard to pass on.....like the summer when I got 3 pairs of Michael Kors sandals for under $100. I am also always looking for small kitchen applaiances. I do have a well stocked kitchen...but a few gadgets are missing and I am always on the lookout for them. I had a few stores I wanted to visit on black friday marshalls (yes, Marshalls), Macy's, Bloomingdales, Old Navy, Gap, Babies "R" Us (BRU) and Target.
I was able to pick up an item I have been coveting for some time now...Cuisinart 4 Quart Slow Cooker for only $59.99; it normally sells for $79.99. I purchased it at Marshalls. BRU had an awesome sale and I was able to pick up a few items for my little one. Fisher Price recently started making diapers, they have two types; happy days and happy nights and they are sold exclusively at BRU. They had a 2 for $10 deal. The packages I bought normally retails for $9.99 each. I had 4 coupons for the diaper, $2/1. I picked up 4 packages ( 2 size 4 and 2 size 5) and my out of pocket was only $12.

I am couponing!!!!!!!!!!!!

I grew up in Jamaica and clipping coupons and using them at the grocery store or any other store was (and may still be) non-existent. In my opinion, it's really hard to shop for a bargain in Jamaica, but I guess, I was born to be a bargain hunter....or is that a junkie, and so I was always able to find a bargain. I moved to NY with my family and I was still a little bargain hunter, I was always looking for a way to make my dollar stretch. When I moved away from home to college and later when my husband (who was then my boyfriend) and I decided to move in together, I learned even more then, to make our dollar stretch. I would always comb the supermarket flyersa for bargains and I would shop at 3 or 4 supermarkets to get bargains, plus I would buy certain items in bulk from Costco (I am now considering adding BJ's wholesale club to my list of stores since they allow you to use manufacturers coupons). Once in a while, I would buy the Sunday paper and I would clip the coupons and use them if I remembered. We had our first child in July and so now, I am obsessed with clipping coupons. I can't tell you (but, I will) how much money I have saved with coupons, I have no shame when it comes to saving with coupons. These days, it's not impossiblefor me to leave the grocery store with 2 carts of grocery (and these are not store brands) and only pay $30 after using all my coupons. I always hear people talk about how expensive diapers and formula can be, but, I have been able to stock up on these items for next to nothing, I once purchased a mega pack of Huggies diapers for 99 cents.
I absolutely love to shop. I love to shop for every and anything and I always am able to find a bargain. I think the reason I am able to walk away with a bargain whenever I shop is because I have the patience to shop. I do all the shopping in my home and everything is bought at a bargain. I am a sucker for labels and yet, I don't pay full price for them.....ever. I will be posting my grocery store savings and I will also post links to coupons as they become available online. I live in Maryland and so, a lot of my deals and bargains will be for the D.C metro area, but, I will also post savings available at national stores too.
